Aryan Khan

Aryan Khan, even as the son of Bollywood’s biggest star Shah Rukh Khan, has chosen to go to a career in the backoffice versus an onscreen career. His passion is for directing, screenwriting, and creative direction, which has been studying and pursuing for many years.

Aryan’s first onscreen appearance was as a child (the younger version of his father’s character) in Karan Johar’s film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). He can be heard in the Hindi-dubbed version of Disney’s The Incredibles (2004) as well, which won him the Best Dubbing Child Artist award. Since then, Aryan has been focused on perfecting his film craft versus entering an acting career.

After graduating in Filmmaking and Writing from the University of Southern California (USC), Aryan Khan began working on various professional projects. In 2022, it was formally announced that he would make his debut as a writer/director of a web series under his family’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment. The series is expected to be a cool, youth-friendly event, and will focus on OTT audiences in India and beyond.

In addition to filmmaking, Aryan Khan is also an entrepreneur. In 2023, he launched a luxury lifestyle brand ‘D’YAVOL,’ that has luxury apparel, beverage and accessory lines. The amount of publicity his business opening got and the celebrity support helped to define Aryan Khan as a trendy and creative businessman.

n 3 October 2021, Khan was arrested along with six others by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid on an alleged rave party on a cruise ship. Khan was detained as part of an investigation into an alleged international drugs racket. After spending 25 days at the Mumbai Central Prison and being denied bail four times, he was granted bail on 28 October 2021. In May 2022, he was cleared of all charges. One of the officers leading the investigation, Sameer Wankhede, was later charged with corruption and extortion in connection with the case, with the Central Bureau of Investigation alleging that the drug charges were part of a false scheme to blackmail the Khan family.

Aryan Khan is the child of the superstar Shah Rukh Khan and has spent most of his life under the scrutiny of media and public interest. Aryan spent some of his formative education years overseas, and now as he begins his career in entertainment as a writer and director, he is establishing his own identity rather than leaning on his father’s fame. Many people who follow Aryan Khan’s life story closely know little about his upcoming projects or luxury lifestyle, which fuels speculation about his romances and keeps him in the news.
